Brief
Our client requested a feasibility study on the Nigerian artisan app market. The study was to uncover the market landscape and generate insights about consumer’s perceptions and key market players.

The Approach
Webhaptic Intelligence conducted the study in two phases involving consumers (end-users) survey and artisans/vendors survey.

A total of 200 interviews were conducted with  20 to 50-year-old artisans in Ikeja, Surulere, and Lekki in the first phase. During the second phase, 100 quantitative interviews were conducted with male and female top five artisans identified in the first phase. The top five artisans include mechanics, vulcanizers, tow truck drivers, laundry service providers, Generator fixers, and electricians.

The Output
The study ultimately informed an App development to provide a more visible platform for artisan businesses in Nigeria.
