Sesan Sobowale, weathered director at Guinness Nigeria Plc and the Corporate Relations Director is reported to have left the company.
The erstwhile face of Guinness Nigeria is said to have mutually agreed to part ways with the brewing company after 12 years stint with the company, having joined in April 2005 as its Corporate Secretary.
However, the beverage giant has not given an official statement concerning his replacement.
Sobowale is said to be outside the country on vacation currently, with reported plans to open a consulting practice in the country upon his return.
Sobowale was admitted to the bar in December 1990 and is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is also an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Nigeria and the UK.
Sobowale has over 18 years of commercial legal experience in Nigeria’s leading commercial law firms including G. M. Ibru & Co., Udo-Udoma & Bello-Osagie and the Law Union. In addition, he also worked as Regulatory Advisor at MTN Nigeria Communications Limited in August 2004 from where he was appointed as Legal Adviser in Guinness Nigeria Plc on 18th April 2005. From 2011, he was appointed Diageo Nigeria’s Corporate Relations Director from where he recently resigned.
