Mr. Sunday Akintoye Omole has been named the new board chairman of International Breweries Plc, an Ilesa based brewery operated under AB InBev, the Belgian brewing giant.
Mr. Omole takes over from the previous Managing Director and Board Chairman, Otunba Michael Daramola, who retired in line with the company’s Articles of Association.
Before his appointment, he was the chairman of International Breweries’ Risk Management Remuneration Committee as well as a member of the Audit Committee.
Omole studied sociology from the University of Ibadan before proceeding to Everest University in the United States from where he obtained an MBA in Human Resources. He is a member of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants UK.
Mr. Omole has wide array of experience both locally and internationally in accounting, auditing and tax practices, food and beverage industries restructuring, commodities futures market analysis, financial services and human resources management.
The new chairman is on the board of several companies including Cardinal Investments (Nigeria) Limited, Mustard Concept LLC (USA), the Omole Group and Universal Foods and Beverages.
