Danone SA unveils male-targeted Danup yoghurt drink

South African arm of dairy and drinks multinational Danone has unveiled Danone Danup, a yoghurt drink targeted at the South African male population.

The drink combines multigrains such as maize, barley, sorghum and oats with yoghurt and is said to have been developed with the collaboration of “South African men.” The “hybrid” beverage is claimed to provide benefits such as being low GI and low in cholesterol and fat.

According to Danone, the product “strives to offer a tasty and convenient blend for people on the move who are determined to keep moving forward.”

Danone Danup Yoghurt Drink is available in Banana and Cream flavours, in packs of 450g with a retail price of 9.99 ZAR ($0.70), and also in 950g packs with a price of 19.99 ZAR ($1.40).
